An independent coffee house, and in equal parts eatery, bakery and take out too. We have a whole host of offerings but remain known for our delicious Sabich (Iraqi stuffed pitta breads) and famous for our coconut cream pies (you may have seen a photo or two). Everything we sell in the shop is made from scratch each morning, from our bread to the cakes, pastries, sandwiches and salads piled high.
You can find us in Neal’s Yard, the iconic little courtyard in the heart of Covent Garden. Friends and neighbours pop in whether for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch or just a cup of freshly brewed coffee and good chat (this is always on the house).
Produce and packaging have been sourced with great care at Jacob the Angel, everything possible is made in house, our ingredients are sourced locally and always from ethical farms. Every bit of packaging is recyclable or compostable. You can see a full list of our suppliers here.
The story behind our name begins at the Angel Inn, where a man from Lebanon called Jacob opened the very first coffee shop in England in the year 1651.
